Lee is one of South Africas busiest and most versatile trumpet players and is well known for being a part of Hog Hoggidy Hog, Closet Snare, Restless Natives and his own Lee Thomson Quintet. He has played and recorded with the likes of Goodluck, Goldfish, Card on Spokes, Fuzigish and Freshlyground to name a few. He has done a number of international gigs and has featured at almost every major South African Music Festival. He has also toured around Asia, Europe and South America with various bands. He has a strong interest in jazz and electronic music. Lee is also able to have great conversation and is fairly philosophical at times.
